You must eat to lose weight! Ironically, this is very different from the statements you are used to, but its what it really is. Food is not the enemy to weight loss! You do not have to worry again about skipping meals. Eating food is more powerful than any weight loss medication. But note, to make this work, you must actually eat meals in the correct proportions and intervals of the day.

Low carb foods tend to make you lose a lot energy, therefore depriving you some strength to undergo some activities which you would have executed with ease if you had been taking those carb menus. Another setback is that you can hardly be consistent in the course of achieving weight loss through a low carb diet program. Carbohydrates is present in almost all foods eaten. Have you noticed? So how can you easily succeed with a low carb diet program?
But i want you to note that there are two types of carbs, "the good carb & the bad carb." Sugar is an example of a bad carb. So if you are considering losing weight, you should not take excess sugar.
Low fat diet is not the way out either. We are all aware of how people try to make sure they do not take meals that seem to have low fat or are even fat free. Well, this might not be the way out of the situation. You might want to ask why..i will give you a piece of information.
Our system can transform any type of calories to fat in the body. For example, sugar which is mostly found in low fat/fat-free foods has several forms which is difficult to identify in foods. Sugar is a "bad carb" that you don't want in excess in your body system. Sugar has calories that provide high energy and is most of the time not all used up by the body. So what happpens next? The unused energy is quickly converted to fat in the body. See why its difficult to avoid this excess fat from getting into the body by using low fat foods?
Another fact you will be amazed about is that cutting your calories intake is totally off the track. Would you believe me a bit if i tell you that low calorie diet is not any where near a weight loss solution. I will tell you how your body works with regards to calories intake.
How it works: Your body works automatically in a way that it will tend to put your system in an equilibrium state (a balanced state). Lets say you have averagely been taking 2,000 calories per day, you then suddenly followed a 'weight loss advice' to reduce your calories intake (claiming that it will help in reducing your weight). You follow the advice and reduce your calorie intake to 1,000 calories a day, your body will quickly recognize this change and adjust your system.
Your body will automatically reduce your rate of metabolism process and thus the fat burning process-in effort to balance up this calories change-drops. So it doesn't burn more than you take but equal to what you take. It burns just that 1,000 calories you had taken!
If your body takes 2000 calories, it burns just that amount. The same thing applies if your body takes some higher or lesser calories. Your system just adjusts naturally. So like in the above example, if you reduce by 1000 calories, your system will reduce the metabolism rate to 1000 calories equivalent and thus your body remains the same. So nothing positive has been done in achieving weight loss. This is known as weight loss “plateau.”
